Manchester Ship Canal Company

Manchester Ship Canal Company have chosen GKD’s 2RCi as their preferred Safe Load Indicator for use on their new Liebherr 954. The machine is primarly used for unloading of ships and some lifting duties. It is for these additional lifting duties that the SLI has been purchased.

Manchester Ship Canal are responsible for the 36 mile long seaway from the Mersey to the Heart of Manchester. It moves some 8 Million tones of cargo a year for a number of Blue chip Companies.

With this in mind a system that was both easy to use and offered clarity ensuring maximum efficiency was required. GKD’s 2RCi met all of these requirements and was selected for installation on this productive machine.
